How to Write Best Answer Workshop - 2016

In recent few years, at all levels efforts were taken, to make higher education and professional education more realistic and life skills oriented. As per that, criteria’s of evaluation at B.Ed. level are also changing. More emphasis is given on the application or implementation of the knowledge. For that purpose more application based questions were included in the theory paper. Hence for guiding students about how to write best answer as well as how should they correlate their experience....

  

International Conference

MAEER’s MIT School of Education and Research, Kothrud has Organized Two Days International Conference on, Empowering E-Generation: Vision 2020, in association with ICSSR & ‘The Learning Community’. The Convener of the Conference was, Dr. Yashpal D. Netragaonkar and Coordinator Mrs. Vrushali H. Rokade.
The main focus of this International Conference was latest Paradigm of E- learning, E- Management and E- content, Massive open Online Course (MOOCs).

  

Edusearch trophy

Edusearch trophy is a unique activity initiated by MITSOE&R with guidance of Former Coordinator Dr. Saroj Virkar. Since 2012 we are organizing this Edusearch Trophy Competition which provide platform for young researcher to present d their M.Ed. Dissertation work and revise their knowledge of research and these discussions on research provide guidance to current batch students to formulate their research dissertation.

  

Alumni Meet-2015

3rd Alumni Meet of MAEER’s MIT School of Education and Research, Kothrud was held on 31st Oct., 2015. Mr. Victor Paul, Mr. Shalik Khandare were the Guests of Honour. Dr. Surendra Herkal was the special invitee. Principal Dr. Sulbha Deshpande welcomed the alumni and addressed them. Dr. Pornima Kadam HOD of M.Ed. also addressed the alumni. 

  

New Year Celebration in Novel Way

Students of B.Ed. college had immense fun celebrating New Year with the children of ‘Savali’ Sweets were distributed, gifts were given, words were exchanged and friendships were made.It was indeed a cheerful New Year.
 

  

Parents Meet

Parents Meet at MAEER’s MIT School of Education and Research, Kothrud was held on 7th Nov., 2015. Mr. Anupkumar Sengupta was the Chief Guest of the programme. Principal Dr. Sulbha Deshpande welcomed the parents and addressed them. The parents Mr. Avinash Ujwal and Mr. Umesh Thipse expressed their views. Mr. Anupkumar Sengupta talked about the various activities conducted by the college and appreciated the guidance, encouragement and support given by the Principal and staff members. The whole programme was organized by B. Ed. Students under the guidance of the faculty.  

  

Inauguration and induction programme of B.Ed.

The inauguration and induction program of the B.Ed course was held on ‘World Teachers Day’ (5th October, 2015). Speaking on the occasion, the Principal, Dr. Sulbha Desphande emphasized the importance of inculcating good habits in the teacher trainees like punctuality; discipline etc. so as to set a good example in front of the student community.  

  

Collaboration program for Principals of practicing schools.

MIT School of Education and Research had organized a one day program for the heads of various practicing schools on 12 Sept 2015.Dr. Sulbha Desphande welcomed all the participants. Dr. Pormina Kadam discussed about how the college and schools could have a collaborative effort and MOU. Dr. Surendra Herkal has also made an appeal on the same lines.  

  

Book Exhibition

A book exhibition was organized on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam and the 'Vachan Prerana Din' (Reading Inspiration Day) at the library of MITSOE&R, Kothrud, Pune on 15th Oct. 2015. The librarian, Mr. Avadhoot Kulkarni surveyed the students of B.Ed. and ECCE for the interest in developing their own personal library. It was observed through the survey that Miss. Jai Panse of the B.Ed. course had maximum books in her personal library and had read maximum no. of books from it.  

  
Visit to Ankur School:

The B.Ed teacher trainees had paid a visit to the Ankur school which is an Inclusive school housing special children. For a week, the teacher trainees assisted the disabled children in their academics as also helped in various centers like the therapy center, eye centre, Kalakruti professional training center etc. The college gifted the school a tent umbrella.

Cleaning of the river bank:

A social service programme of cleaning the riverside area was organized by Random Act of Kindness Club on the occasion of Gandhi Nirvan Din. The objective of the programme was to create awareness and spread message amongst Pune people regarding pollution of river and requesting them not to throw the garbage in water. The teacher trainees of MIT B.Ed College, Kothrud, Pune gathered at Bhide bridge in the morning wherein the programme was inaugurated by Mayor Vaishali Bankar,Subhash Jagtap, Nilima Khade, Mukta Tilak, Gopaldada Tiwari and Vivek Velankar and Dr. Purandhar Nare. The teacher trainees were provided with the garbage bags and gloves. The area near the Bhide Bridge was thoroughly cleaned by the teacher trainees and staff members. The teacher trainees also created the awareness by speaking with the people and also by showing the plaque cards.

Workshop on Personality development:

At MIT, we believe that development of the overall personality of a person is crucial, and we work hard towards making our teacher trainees better human beings. For the same, a personality development workshop was held, wherein, various topics were dealt with using activity based methodology. The topics included gender equality, mental health, yoga, etc., and proved to be beneficial to the teacher trainees.

Social service in Melghat:

Melghat is the tribal and underdeveloped area of Maharashtra. As due to no proper guidance and inner urge the children of this region avoid going to school run by zilha Parishad. In order to mainstream the children into education Maitree foundation runs the 100 days school. MIT College from last few years has been sending teacher trainees and staff as volunteers to teach the tribal students in this ‘100 days school’. Even the funds were raised for learning of these small children.

Workshop on ‘HOW TO WRITE BEST ANSWER’

Today’s society is a knowledge based society, but in this society only having knowledge, is not sufficient, it is imperative that one is able to apply it and present it systematically and in logical sequence. The new examination pattern stresses on testing students’ critical thinking ability. Thus, while writing an answer, it is necessary for the students to keep in mind that, the answer should have clear and logical frame, which presents information in a systematic and concise manner. Keeping this objective in mind, MIT B. Ed. College, Kothrud, Pune had organized a workshop on ‘How to write best answer’ on 20/02/2013. In this workshop, various experts from the field of Education had graced the workshop to guide and enlighten the students regarding all compulsory subjects of B.Ed. course. Nearly 175 students from various colleges were benefited from this workshop. At the same, we are planning to publish a handbook based on the discussions related to the questions included in this workshop. We aspire to have many more such workshops in future to facilitate students learning.

Participation in University research activity: M.Ed.

The M. Ed students participated in “Avishkar” a research activity conducted by University of Pune.

Paper presentation: M.Ed.

The M. Ed. students participated and presented papers at National level Seminar wherein one of the students received first prize in the paper presentation.
