Dr. Gargee Mitra is an Associate Professor in the M.Ed. Course of MIT School of Education and Research, Kothrud, Pune. She has a total teaching experience of 12 years as a teacher educator. She is also a visiting faculty at various Nursing Colleges in Pune for the B.Sc. and M.Sc. Nursing students since August 2007. She is an approved counsellor and project guide for IGNOU B.Ed. course and certificate courses. She has been certified by The National Federation of Neurolinguistic Programming, USA for ‘Basic Practitioner of Neurolinguistic Programming'.She has 14 research papers published in various journals of national and international reputation and has attended over 50 seminars/workshops/conferences/symposiums. She has successfully completed the General Orientation Programme and the two Refresher Courses in Education with distinction.

Dr.Mitra has been invited as a Resource Person at various schools, colleges and institutes for their students and faculty for delivering talks on topics like Study Skills, Brain Based Learning, Innovative Teaching Learning Strategies, Multiculturalism, Graphic Organizers – MindMapping, Concept Mapping, Evaluation, Classroom Management, Differentiated Instruction, Time Management, Teacher as a Reflective Practitioner, etc.

She has performed various duties at the university level like Paper Setting, Examination and Moderation. She has been a paper setter for SPPU, MUHS and St. Mira's College for Girls. She has also been a member of various university (SPPU) level committees like Local Inquiry Committee, Selection Committee, Moderation Committee, Flying Squad, Curriculum Formation Committee and Examiner for the M.Ed. General Viva-Voce. She is also Member - Board of Studies for St. Mira's College for Girls. She has been invited as a judge for various school and college level competitions. She has authored two study materials for the Symbiosis Centre for Distance Learning (SCDL) titled ‘Evaluation in Education' and ‘Current Trends in Education'.

She is a passionate teacher having a quest for knowledge and is determined to foster different avenues in research so that her practices may facilitate the learners and the learning environment in the years to come.
